MAURICE DELANO KOHUT Life is fragile handle with prayer. Maurice, beloved husband of Annette (Bremault) ended his earthly journey on Saturday, November 2, 2002 accompanied by the quick response of the 911 team, Dr. Penner and his team of Angels at the Grace Hospital surrounded by family and friends following a massive stroke. Prayers were said Thursday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m. followed by Mass of the Resurrection on November 8, at 2:00 p.m. concelebrated by Msgr. Michael Moore, Fr. John Kratcher, Fr. Sean Cahill and assisted by Rev. Deacon Robert Gate. (A mass was celebrated in Lima, Peru by Fr. Gerry Desmond at the same time). Altar servers were Michael, Jonathan, Russell, Jared and Paul. Pallbearers were Larry, Aurele, Roger, Rene, Don, Clarence (Patrick), Ed and Rusty. Nicole, Lise, Joelle and Lynne accompanied by Gerard (Ziz) and two St. Charles choirs led by Anna accompanied by Dodie assisted by Dave, soloist Jim, did an excellent job of making these truly meaningful liturgies. All were touched by Corys sacred stories of his Dad and the singing of Amazing Grace. An Aboriginal acknowledgement led by Clarence and sung by the Red Sons Drum Group moved the assembly by their Honour and Mourning Songs along with the smudging ceremony. Readers, Valmore, Guy, Kevin, Sharon, Caron and Danny all helped make the celebration of Maurices life truly an awesome experience. The Dove moved all to tears. The Knights of Columbus led the Rosary, the St. Charles Mens Association ushered and handled the parking while the Ladies Association served the food. In keeping with Maurices giving nature we were showered with flowers, sympathy cards, food, baking, mass offerings, phone calls, visits and donations to the St. Charles Building Fund and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We will forever remember the so many who gathered from near and far to share in our pain and all those who couldnt be with us but were here in spirit. We are all family. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all your acts of kindness. We are truly blessed to be so loved. God is an awesome God! Love and prayers to each one of you, Annette, Sharon and Earl, Valmore and Tara, Jeffrey and Lori, Cynthia and Kevin, Cory and Paula, Bradley, Betty and Shirley.
